Xorcom

Enterprise-grade VoIP phone systems based on open source platform providing flexibility, modularity, and no per user license fees

Xorcom, established in 2004, designs and manufactures business telephony solutions that support both traditional PSTN and VoIP communication. All Xorcom products are based on the Asterisk open source platform, making them easy to install and maintain as well as cost-effective, since there are no per user license fees. Various utilities that maximize system uptime include backup and restore, dedicated redundant power supplies, and TwinStar – a unique award-winning hot failover solution for the entire PBX.

Based on its vast communications experience, open source infrastructure, and expertise with sensors, the company now develops state-of-the-art computer-based systems that are designed to extend the period during which seniors can live safely at home, avoid falls, prevent wandering and alert the caregiver about emergency conditions and/or abnormal behavior patterns.

Xorcom engineers are part of the worldwide Asterisk development team and cooperate with the main players in this field. The Astribank driver (xpp-Xorcom Peripheral Protocol) has been a standard component in the DAHDI (formerly Zaptel) package since Asterisk version 1.2.4, released in Feb. 2006.

Xorcom has been awarded “Best of Show” seven times over the past four years by TMCnet, the world’s leading business to business and integrated marketing media company, in categories ranging from “Best On-site Product Launch”, through “Best of Open Source”, to "Most Innovative Product”.
